My Mad Hatter

Aubrey had his "Mad Hatter" Tea Party today at school. He picked out and decorated the hat himself. They had cheese, fruit, chicken fingers, and tea or lemonade.

Pump-It-Up!

Aubrey's birthday party was today. He had a blast! We had it at a place called Pump It Up! It is a place that has about 7 or 8 moonjumps. We had cake and ice cream. The theme is Transformers. Bubble swords were given as favors.

Aubrey in his Transformer Shirt.

The Family minus Oliver. Never wake a sleeping baby.

Kate's cute outfit!

Mom and Oliver. I hope she doesn't miss a rental call.
( See phone on hip)

Notice he is blowing out the candle on his $45 cake. Yes, that is what I wrote. I thought I was getting out cheap by getting it from Publix. No such luck.

Easter is here. He is Risen.

Well, Easter started off as usual. I was up at 5:30am and off to church. Bobby was left to get two children ready. Never mind that one child had his pants on backwards and the other had no socks, they all got to church on time.

This was Oliver's first trip to the nursery. It went very well. Thank goodness.

We ate with our friends The Thompsons at the Country Club. Very Tasty. We were home by 4pm to enjoy all of the goodies that the Easter Bunny brought: a booster chair, Dr. Seuss movies, sunglasses, onesies, and best of all candy.

I don't know if all of you know, but I love to sew clothes for my children. Now, I am not a pro, thank goodness they are moving targets. This year they wore matching green outfits. Aubrey in a white polo (Daddy said he is too big for a back button shirt) and green pin cord pocket shorts and Oliver in a matching yoke bubble, piped in white. I was sewing until last night. That is always the way it is for me. I bought the patterns and material in January. I even re-made the bubble because I didn't like the way it turned out the first time. I had lost my sewing chops. They are only semi-back at this point!

Aubrey is 5!

Aubrey is 5 years old. He loves playing pirate, Legos, Nick Jr. computer games, and watching movies. He has started eating "grown-up" foods like: ribs a.k.a "meat on the bone" and hamburgers. He has always had a taste for the finer things in life. He loves steak and shrimp, especially from "Chop Chop." (a.k.a Japanese Steak House) A general willingness to try things is a new 5 year old trait. He already uses big words like: familiar, ancient, and invent. And had a particular interest in the Passion Story this spring! He is getting so big.

Can I get a break?

The past 2 weekends, we have had a party and a wedding. Both times, we have been called home by the grandparents to rescue them from this angel. He won't take the bottle, he won't stop crying, etc. When Momma gets there, he is fine. Don't get me wrong, I love him too, but I don't want to be that indispensable. I hope this gets better. We are going to try a different bottle and see if that helps.
